Heights & Lights - Rappelling Santa and Holiday Tree Lighting

Attend holiday events at Landmark Square & Latham Park and catch a glimpse of Stamford’s beautiful holiday tree.

If you want to start your winter holidays with a family-friendly event that has a unique twist, head over to Heights & Lights - Rappelling Santa and Holiday Tree Lighting. This tree lighting ceremony in Stamford CT will take place in downtown Stamford on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at 5 p.m.

Heights & Lights - Rappelling Santa and Holiday Tree LightingSanta is an important part of this ceremony, but he doesn't make his arrival in a sleigh. Your children will be thrilled when they see Santa make his entrance by rappelling down the 22-story Landmark Square building. He'll be accompanied by a few friends as he swoops and spins his way to the ground. His companions in previous years have included elves and reindeer. The festivities will continue as Santa and his friends lead the way along Bedford Street to Latham Park.

Stamford's holiday tree is located in the park, and you can join residents and visitors as they enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season. Holiday music will be played while the tree is lit. Festivities at the tree lighting ceremony in previous years have included a sing-along of holiday carols and free refreshments, so you can stave off the winter chill with a steaming cup of hot chocolate. Heights & Lights - Rappelling Santa and Holiday Tree Lighting is presented by Reckson Associates, a division of SL Green.
